by manda790 Nice ring but not worth it.
This ring is really pretty and nice on but it's cheap. I've never ever had a sterling ring bend so much. I'm glad I paid for the life time warranty because I've had to get it fixed 3 times now. The employees just blame it on how thin and that i must be too rough with it, but considering I've worn all thicknesses of sterling silver rings all my life this is the worst. Very soft, and bends super easy.

This is in reply to RedRoze's review. The reason that the faux diamonds are not sparkly is because they are not stones at all. It's the metal that is moulded to give the illusion that stones are there. Because it's such itty-bitty, you really do have to look closely to see that it's not small stones, and that it's just the light hitting the flat portion of the metal, rather than the filigree. The only stone in the ring is the opal, and it's a very pretty stone. I actually would prefer to have the stone set all by itself without the framework around it, but it was on sale when I bought it. I would have passed by at full price.

I received this opal ring as a gift from my mom, along with the matching opal earrings. I love the vintage design of it. I didn't like that the ring was only available in one size (7) and I had to get it resized down to a 5 from another jeweller since Peoples will not do it for sterling silver rings. I like the overall look, but wish that the faux diamonds were a bit more sparkly. I believe they are white topaz. Still, good value for what she paid for it.
