Colour

Each gemstone starts as a colourless topaz. After it is cut, a patented azotic coating is applied to its underside, producing a permanent and stable blue‐green appearance that displays a kaleidoscope of colour.

Hardness

Because it is a topaz, Mystic Fire has a Mohs hardness rating of 8. It is a great choice for all types of jewellery, and since the coating that creates the colour and fire are on the underside of the stone, it is not easily damaged.

Treatments

Mystic Fire topaz is treated with an azotic coating, giving it its unique and colourful appearance.

Care

Mystic Fire topaz should be stored separately to keep from scratching or being scratched. Store them in a lined box or a soft pouch. Clean your Mystic Fire topaz under warm running water and dry with a soft, lint‐free cloth. Avoid steam or ultrasonic cleaners, as this may remove the azotic coating.
